July(& June) Favorites

Hello my wonderful readers :)

For the first time ever today I am doing a monthly favorite post! For this those I am doing a June and July favorites because I also used these through out the month of June as well as July :) Since I have a lot of stuff though, I've made a few lists with different items in each categories and I'm going to try and go through these quickly and not so much in depth with all, but maybe just a select few. If you click on the links, it will bring you to places to get these. Let's get started!

Bath:
Capewest Salt Scrub - I talked about this in my Awesome Product Alert post. I really like this stuff and it makes my legs feel freaking amazing!

Shower Cap(Dry Day/Wet Day set) - Just got this recently(at Bed Bath and Beyond) and even though when I see myself in the mirror it makes me look like an old lady, it also makes it sooooo much easier to take a shower on days where I just want to wash my body. Plus its polka dotted! Love this thing <3

Suave Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo - As I said, I do wash my hair every other day or at least am trying to more now since I hate how oily my gets after one day. That may be due to how much I wash it though. So when I don't wash my hair I use this! It makes my hair smell nice, absorbs oil, and doesn't make my hair white :)

Turbie Twist - I use this to wrap up my hair after I've washed it. I used to use it when I was younger and its becoming a favorite again. Basically its a towel to wrap your hair in if you are super uncoordinated and can't do it, like me, with just a normal towel.

Turbie Head Band - I use this to keep my hair away from my face when its wet and it does a lot better job than those stretchy head band things.

Organix Moroccan Argan Oil - This is for when my hair is damp; I just put a small amount of the oil in my hair by running my fingers through the strands. For the rest of the day my hair smells awesome and is SUPER soft! I just bought the Shampoo and Condition version of this stuff and I will let you guys know how it turns out.

Skincare:

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes - I have been using these for at least 5 years but I thought I would include them since they saved my face on my trip to Italy in June. After bringing makeup remover wipes that were different and then having to replace them with a second type that were still not as affective, I realized just how awesome these are.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash in Pink Grapefruit - I also have been using this for over a year and I can definitely tell when I don't use it but also if I am using it too much. It has kept the little amount of acne I have at bay and I think it smells good. I use this in the morning, along with my next favorite.

Olay Fresh Effects Shine Shine Go Away Cleanser - I got this right at the beginning of the month and definitely can feel it working. Although I still am having issues with sweating I can happily say this is helping me with any oil I do have. I just take a pea size amount, rub it on my face in my morning shower, rinse and I feel shine free :)

Hawaiian Tropic After Sun Lotion - Not only was this great for when I was in Italy in the hot weather but just a few days ago, I was outside working a concert and my back got burned. This stuff definitely calmed my shoulders and face down the next day. I would suggest this one and any other aloe vera products for summer :)

Dead Sea Minerals Hand Cream - My best friend got this for me after she went to Israel and it smells truly AH-MAZING. It just makes my hands feel super soft and I cannot help but smell it every morning before putting on makeup :P

L'Oreal Youth Code Eye Cream - I literally just got this two days ago but I tried it and immediately noticed a difference! It may sound strange but I used it under my eyes to combat my bags and they just seemed to shrink back up into my face or something.

Makeup:

FitMe Shine Free Foundation - I talked about this in my Beauty/Fashion haul. Basically this stuff lasts for about six hours without becoming shiny and probably more if you aren't sweating like me. The reason why I like it so much is because it sticks to my face even if I sweat. It may just be my skin which is actually combo/oily, but I would say if you have normal, combo/oily skin, or oily skin, this will work well for you :)

Milani Eye Primer - This stuff is a bargain god sent!! It reminds me so much of the Too Faced Shadow Insurance in consistency and it makes my eye shadows stay put all day for 1/3 the price!!

Revlon Cream Shadow Quad in Precious Metals - I use this quad and the other two I have from Revlon as shadow bases and I definitely think they help my eye shadows stay on longer. The only thing I wish is that they had some matte shades.

L.A. Colors Trio in Iris - I bought this in my Beauty/Fashion Haul too and I stick to what I said in the beginning: they are pigmented, easy to blend, and don't have too much fall out :) I. Want. More.

Physicians Formula Shimmer Nude Eyes Trio Liners in Black and Brown - These have been my go to eye liners for the past three months now. They DO NOT crease and they have just the tiniest hint of shimmer so you can be a little more playful with them.

Maybelline Volume Express The Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara(Waterproof) - This stuff is awesome; you get a great winged out look for your lashes, it is a more wet formula which I like, and it doesn't smudge.

Physicians Formula Powder Blush in Warm - I just got this recently and I love how this looks. It is quite pigmented but for some reason when I
used it last it wasn't all coming off of
the brush so I would say go and pick
these up and use a nice blush brush :D

Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Fruitti - I have been in love with this lipstick line since December. Their formulation is just what I love, they are pigmented, and the colors are awesome. I now have 10 lol.

Covergirl Lipstick in Temptress - This lipstick has had an interesting life for me. I got it first as a MAC dupe for VivaGlam Nicki and I love the color especially for the price. Then the first few times I wore it, it felt too drying for me and wouldn't stay on. But as I have worn this, and one called Delight more, I've really come to love these. They stay on my lips through food and water once they've set and of course I love the color payoff.

Makeup Forever Mist & Fix Setting Spray(travel size) - I got this at Sephora and its been great at helping my makeup stay on. I am not sure if I would buy it full size though.

Random:
Taco Bell Freeze in Baja Blast - (I do not own the image)I cannot say enough about this frozen slushy drink. Happier hour is going on now so almost every day I have been going and getting one for $1. I even got my mom hooked. I really hope they keep this deal up because, even though its fast food, I'll still buy it.
Zumba - I have become a Zumba fiend. I keep going to classes, starting with one instructor and now I got to three different ones at three or four classes per week! I just love when I can go and dance and release all my stress and still get a workout!

Awesome Product Alert!

Hello From OliveBeautyBlogger :)

Soooooooo I have another awesome product to talk to you guys about!! A few months ago I found this product at my local Marshalls and it is an amazing salt body scrub in Strawberry & Vanilla from Capewest. This is a South African based brand that sells its products both on amazon and in TJMaxx/Marshalls stores. Firstly its amazing because of the price: at TJMaxx and Marshalls you can get a 17oz tub for just $5.99! When I realized how amazing it was I wanted to stock up because you do not always know what stuff will come back at TJMaxx/Marshalls. So I went onto the interwebs, searched it, and it said it cost $17.99 with $11 shipping!! I was like NO MA'AM!
You may be wondering why I felt the need to go right back and get back ups of this product. First of all the price; second the amazing smell; third how it makes my legs feel! For a while I have been using just a soap to moisturize my legs when shaving but this stuff has made it not only amazing to shave with, but makes my legs super soft, smooth and smell amazing when I get out of the shower! I cannot get enough of the smell, which is like a cherry ICEE. However if that is not your taste they have an Oatmeal & Honey scent, a Strawberry scent, a Grapefruit scent, a Lavender scent, a Lemon scent, Mango & Lime scent, and a Ocean Fresh scent.
I am telling you guys, if you want something to exfoliate your legs, make them super easy to shave, and make your entire body smell like heaven, run out to your closest TJMaxx or Marshalls and get this freaking amazing product! I'm telling you, you will not be disappointed!

BHCosmetics Haul

Welcome Beauty Girls and Gurus Alike!

Hello to all of my beautiful readers :) So just as a small treat to myself this week, I went ahead and got some BHCosmetics Palettes. After seeing that BHCosmetics were on Hautelook.com and since I have not tried any of their products before, I thought I'd give them a go. I bought the 60 color Day & Night Pallete as well as the 30 Smokey Eye Pallete. I hope they are good and when they arrive I will give a full over review/ try and come up with a look or two I like from it. I know this is kind of a quick post but I wanted to get something up there for all of you. Also, do you guys like BHCosmetics or Costal Scents more? Are there palettes or products I should be on the look out for? What is your favorite palette you own. Wish me luck with the purchase and comment below on something you guys would like me to post about!

Fashion/Beauty Haul! CVS, Forever21, and more!

Good evening beauties!

I have for you a collective fashion and beauty haul!!

Over the past few days I have been to CVS, Walmart, Dollar Tree, Forever 21, and Target and found some goodies :) Without further ado let's get started.

I realized I had some coupons for cosmetics at CVS, plus I knew there were some new items out that I wanted to try. The first thing I saw when I walked in the store was the Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free Foundation which I saw in a magazine ad and was like, 'I gotta try this, maybe it will stay on my skin.' I tend to sweat a bit in the facial region so wearing stuff that is shine free is a go to for me. I got it in the shade 220, Natural Beige for $8.99 and once I try it I'll let you guys know how it feels :). Since Maybelline was having a "Buy $10 of Maybelline, get $3 rewards" discount I thought I should definitely pick something else up; and I knew just what to get. I love the Maybelline Color Tattoos, I have 7 and two are limited edition. So when I found out there was a new Color Tattoo product it was pretty obvious I needed to try it. I got it in Downtown Brown for $6.99 and I'm hoping to like it just as much as their other products in the line. As well as Maybelline having a rewards bucks discount, NYC was having a BOGO half off sale. Since I knew there were an item or two to pick up I didn't think it would hurt to look :). I ended up getting the NYC Liquid Liner which has been my go to for many years; it is cheap in price(about $3-$4) but works wonders. The brush is a little flimsy for those who like their felt tips but if you have dexterity this is the liner to go for. I've also been dying to try NYC's bronzer in Sunny(for $2.79) so I had to pick that up too, especially to get the deal.

Next up was Walmart; I was looking for the new Neon Baby Lips and of course the shelves had been picked apart so I could only find Pink Shock and grab it I did for $2.99. It smells like Pink Punch but when I mixed it with my Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Fruitti it made the most beautiful light magenta-y color. I'm definitely trying that combo again. As usual though, the Baby Lips don't stay on for all that long, but they smell so good so I can let that go lol. I also picked up another CoverGirl Lipstick in Delight($6). These for me are long lasting, not sure if anyone else finds them to be but the color pay off is really nice, they smell nice and last a while; all good qualities of a lipstick.

The last stop of the day ended up being the Dollar Tree. Thanks to EmilyNoel83 I was on a hunt for L.A. Colors eyeshadow trios.

Boy did Em get it right! These colors are awesome, pigmented, you don't get a lot of fall out and you cannot beat $1!! I got two of them in the quads Sunflower(above) and Iris(below). Seriously considering going out and getting all 6 and you should too!

Later on in the week I went to the mall and visited Forever 21 and Target. Luckily I was on a mission and stuck to it. I was looking for sweatpants, camis, and knee-length leggings. I found awesome teal sweatpants for only $9.99! Can't wait to wear these on campus and lounging around the house if it ever gets cold enough. Next I found the camis but they were unfortunately out of all the fun colors, so I got a few more basics in black, grey, white, and burnout grey for $1.80 each(I already have a few pinks, red, blue, cream, salmon, and dark grey). In the workout section I found a navy and dark brown pair of knee-length leggings; I have a pair of grey and I love them so I needed to get more :). Finally back in the sale section I found(my one thing not on the list) the cutest cream dress with a grey cross pattern, and gold cross detailing on the black collar; super cute! Plus it was a steal at $17.80 down from $27.80 so that made it that much better.
Finally in target I found new sleep shorts because the ones I have now are too freaking short and a little tight so I found three striped pairs with draw strings each at $8.99 each!

Anything in that I have bought in the beauty section of this haul will have a first impressions/review coming up soon. Catch you guys later!

Kiko Make Up Milano

Hello my beautiful viewers!

So sorry I have not written in a week. I actually spent it at my cousins' house and since they live far away from me and my family, it's not too surprising I got distracted. I mean in any case I never stated how often or stagnated my posts would be, but I should have probably said something before.

WELL as for this new post I will be talking about a cosmetic company I found while I was traveling abroad in Italy for a program through my school.

This brand is called Kiko Cosmetics!

Sadly they seem to only be available in stores in Europe, but I may have luck with getting products online through international shipping or on Amazon. This brand I would equate with something like Urban Decay, Sephora Brand makeup or even go so far as to say Benefit. Not necessarily matching in price, since it did seem to come in a little under what you would pay for those brands, but the quality is up there. I know this because I went through an entire day in Rome, sweaty and researching many amazing historical art pieces, as well as taking a shower after that long day, rubbing my eyes, and the eyeshadow that was put on my face that morning was still in the same position after all of what was just described.

There are tons of products in all categories of makeup: foundations, primers, powders, eye shadows, palettes, blushes, lipsticks, nail polishes; as well as different formulations and color ranges. The quality spoke to me the most and the innovation of products was refreshing. I was especially impressed with the quality of their nail polish. It cost me about 2,50€, which I believe would be roughly $3.25, for a clearance bottle the size of an Essie nail polish(normally 4,99€ or $6.50). I never have good results with nail polish; they always chip after two or three days and it is probably because I buy more cheap than good nail polish, but this got it through my head that I need to buy good stuff if I want it to last. It has now been 4 days of wear and it just started to chip!! I got a mint green shade numbered 389(right) and a peachy coral shade numbered 359(below).

If you have a chance to get your hands on these amazing makeup products you will not be disappointed. Also if I do find a way to get more of Kiko makeup, there will definitely be a haul post.

DISCLAIMER: None of the photos used are mine in this post, all credit goes to the amazing photographers who did take them.

Empty Product Alert!

Hello Beauts!

To start my blog, I thought I would share with you one of my recent favorite products and share with you my thoughts on the pair!

These are the 5oz bottles of Nexxus's Ultimate Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner! Basically I started out when I was little using Redken hair products in the All Soft line.  Throughout the 20 years of my life I've switched from products like Garnier Fructis and Herbal Essences over to L'Oreal EverCreme and Treseme. Last year after bleaching my hair for a musical, I went back to Redken for the Color Extend line. After all of that, I decided that I needed to start using shampoo that did not cost $15+ dollars a bottle.
This is when I stumbled upon Nexxus. I have to say this is the first shampoo and conditioner in a while, other than Redken, that has not totally stripped my hair or weighed it down or made it feel greasy. Personally I have fine hair but I have a lot of it, so I need something that can nourish and moisturize my hair enough without making me look like I've been sweating from the top of my head all day! So when this stuff seemed to almost soak into my hair and did not give it that weird squeaky feeling I knew I had found something good. And on top of all this goodness it only cost me $10 at target for shampoo(plus I have been finding sales with it each time!).
For the past few months this stuff has been doing the trick! I actually started out with their Pro-Mend series to try it out and fix some of my damaged ends, and that worked awesome too( although I have to say I like that scent more). Sooooooo, if you are looking for a good mid-price range hair care product, go with Nexxus :D

Introduction!

Hello beauty gurus alike!
I am OliveBeautyBlogger93 :)

I started out making several beauty videos on Youtube and while that got me some views I figured why not just make a blog.  I figure I can just write about what products and things I want and whoever wants to see it can and maybe it would do better.
I have just recently gotten into beauty this year and of course I have gone into it full keel.  I used to do dance competitions when I was little and well it made me not really want to wear make up on a daily basis and for years I told myself I would start wearing it every day.  Every school year would be the same: I would wear make up for a few days and then.... well I think you can figure out where it went.  Finally after a break up with my most recent boyfriend it sprang some sort of beauty juice in my brain and well I haven't been able to shake the habit since.
Now as gross as it may sound I still have some of the makeup from say 5 or 7 years ago and I have gotten rid of most of it (still gross huh?) but there are a few things I have held on to but they are just powders so its not all bad.  Everything else I have now is no more than 6 months old and some products like mascara I have stuck to that 3-6 month rule.  I cannot get enough of this stuff and hope to keep collecting and using and testing out products!
So to everyone out there I hope someone reads my blog hopefully several people even.  I'm not sure what I will start with first but I'm hopeful this will be fun and insightful too!
